" ... It's part of our job as mentors to young people to present them with all the opportunities offered by this major challenge facing society - the ecological transition - by continuing to roll out the GREEN project across the region ... " . It is on the strength of this commitment that Mission locale de Guadeloupe joined the GREEN project consortium in 2023. Project G.R.E.E.N: the circular economy for young NEETs (greenprojectec.com) to implement and test the project tools.
To this end, the local mission's integration advisors have been trained in the key concepts of the circular economy, and have taken part in the training of trainers that took place in Greece with our partner Solidarity Tracks in order to create awareness-raising and training tools aimed at young NEETS (no education, no job) and to discover the job creation and business opportunities offered by the circular economy sectors. The tools in the GREEN educational e-maletteGREEN RESOURCES - GREEN project (greenprojectec.com) have been tested by the professional advisers in a workshop and have been tested with young people registered with the local mission, who have been able to discover the principles of the circular economy, the professional opportunities open to them and exchange their opinions on the ecological transition and the environmental challenges facing our region.
" ...We believe that it is important for young people to know about the circular economy and its important sectors, which provide jobs and create businesses for our region. " .
